The 2022-2023 ski season is officially here in Summit County! No matter what mountain resort you choose to ski or ride, a fun day on the slopes is always followed by great après. And if snow sports aren’t your thing, you should still join in on the after party for some libations, food, and fun. Check out our favorite post-snow day spots below…

BRECKENRIDGE

With Breckenridge Ski Resort and historic downtown colliding together, Breckenridge offers an unbelievable number of options for you to choose from. For creative seasonal cocktails within walking distance from the slopes, our favorites include RMUCabin Juice at Gravity Haus, and Aurum

Want to try some mountain-made booze? Hop on the complimentary shuttle for the Breckenridge Distillery and head to their flagship location for tours, tastings, and a creative cocktail menu.

Blue River Bistro is home to live music on Mondays and Tuesdays starting at 5pm. Ready to start early? They also have a wide selection of BOGO martinis and appetizers from 2pm-5pm daily.

We live here and still can’t get enough of our Tenmile Range views. Head to Hearthstone‘s iconic upstairs bar for a glass of wine or cross the Blue River to Ollie’s on the Dredge Boat to watch your favorite games with a large selection of food and beer with the alpenglow fading in the background.

Does your furry friend deserve some après fun, too? Grab their leash and head over to one ofBroken Compass Brewing‘s two locations: the Airport Road OG Location or their Main Street Taproom. Bring in your own food and enjoy locally made brews while showing everyone photos of that bump run you crushed earlier in the day.

KEYSTONE

If you’re fresh off the hill in Keystone, it’s easy to find your way into The Kickapoo Tavern. This long-time local favorite is walking distance from the base of the gondola with happy hour running from 3pm-6pm daily. Ski boots are always welcome, so there is no need to run home and change before heading out.

If you keep walking though River Run Village, you will come across Steep Brewing + Coffee Co. They brew their own beer and roast their own coffee right in Keystone.

If it’s tequila and tacos you’re craving, Dos Locos is the place for you! Located directly across the street from the ski resort, happy hour runs from 3pm-5pm daily. But the real fun starts at Thursday night Karaoke at 9pm.

COPPER MOUNTAIN

Copper Mountain Village offers a handful of watering holes nestled just beyond the lift lines. Click out of your bindings, loosen your boots, and take a few steps to either JJ’s or Downhill Duke’s. JJ’s is located in the East Village and it has a large patio and firepit made for gathering. The south-facing patio and mountain backdrop make Downhill Duke’s the perfect place to rest your legs and relax. Let your pup in on the fun with their dog-friendly patio and dog treats on the menu. Don’t want the party to end? We hope you’ll stumble into Mulligan’s Irish Pub for traditional pub fare, great entertainment, and a local atmosphere.

ARAPAHOE BASIN

Our team, along with the majority of Summit County, can agree that there is only one après location after a day of skiing at The Legend:The 6th Alley Bar & Grill. You may think you want to get on the road and stop on the way home from A-Basin, but we promise that you won’t want to leave the base area that quickly. They offer a large indoor bar to belly up to and outdoor seating with a scenic two-story deck to take in the last of the day’s views. It’s basically required that you order one of their award-winning Bloody Mary’s and we think a huge pile of nachos compliments them well. Here, you are destined to meet some old-time locals sharing iconic stories from decades of skiing in Summit.
