The Town was moved three times; once to be closer to the railroad, a second time to be located between three rivers - the Blue, the Ten Mile, and the Snake. The third move began in 1956 when the Denver Water Board told the townspeople that they must sell their property and be out of town by 1961. The final location for the Town of Dillon was selected on the shore of the new reservoir where the town continues to thrive today- good choice, Dillon! Sitting proud on the water, this small town hosts a massive farmers market during the summer months bringing together hundreds of local merchants. After spending the day shopping and biking around the lake, what better way to relax than listening to live music at the FREE shows put on at the amphitheater? During the winter season, the famous Ice Castles can be seen from afar with their many luminous colors.
ABOUT STU VAN ANDERSON
Focus, Knowledge & experience
I have been a Broker for 24 years and a part of the Coldwell Banker team for 5 years. Being a Breckenridge local, I know what it means to work hard, but enjoy the world around you. I support my team in the work they do, but I understand needing to have a personal life and getting to enjoy the many opportunities this town has to offer. I empower the brokers of my office and encourage them to make their own decisions and I am there to offer a guiding hand when they need it. Having been in this business for many years, I have experienced enough to have a grasp on the dos and don’ts of real estate and I enjoy communicating that information with new brokers. This longevity and confidence comes from working with many different clients from many different backgrounds. Their recommendations to others has resulted in referral and repeated business that keeps me productive and successful. As a full-service Breckenridge real estate professional, I work with buyers, sellers and investors in realty transactions spanning all price ranges and property types. Coldwell Bankers has given me so much through the years and I do my best to give it right back. Learn more about the Stu Crew.
