Learn what makes Dillon so great.
Dillon Colorado
The Town was moved three times; once to be closer to the railroad, a second time to be located between three rivers – the Blue, the Ten Mile, and the Snake. The third move began in 1956 when the Denver Water Board told the townspeople that they must sell their property and be out of town by 1961. The final location for the Town of Dillon was selected on the shore of the new reservoir where the town continues to thrive today- good choice, Dillon! Sitting proud on the water, this small town hosts a massive farmers market during the summer months bringing together hundreds of local merchants. After spending the day shopping and biking around the lake, what better way to relax than listening to live music at the FREE shows put on at the amphitheater? During the winter season, the famous Ice Castles can be seen from afar with their many luminous colors.
